01/2025 - Present
Since the 2025 spring semester, I have been a part of The Prairie News, the newspaper at West Texas A&M University. My first semester, I participated as part of the practicum and functioned as a reporter. I then continued with The Prairie, becoming the Associate Editor last fall, and continue in the position. I enjoy my position of leadership and getting to be a part of every aspect of running the paper. I most enjoy writing and photography, but also have a liking for editing both text and our new podcast. Our podcast, The Prairie Files, was an idea of mine to relate more to our students through a more modern technique, and I have enjoyed learning how to record and edit the episodes using Adobe Audition and Adobe Podcasts.
Fall 2024
I have also published for the Eternal Flame magazine, which used to be the yearbook at WTAMU. I wrote and published a story highlighting mental health in college students. I also interviewed the associate professor of theater about her training in mental health in students.
